levels of certification
HELP Standard Certification

Trainee is trained and certified to use HELP to manage
program safety.
-
A minimum of 12 hours of training is required.

Must be re-certified annually.

Not certified to train others.
HELP Instructor Certification
-
Trainee is certified to train and certify others in
his/her program to use HELP techniques.
-
Must attend an instructor certification workshop.
-
A minimum of 24 hours of training is required.
-
Must be re-certified annually.
HELP Authorized Provider
-
Trainer is certified to train and issue HELP Standard
Certification outside of the sponsoring agency according to guidelines
based on a written agreement.

Must have a valid, active HELP Instructor certification for at
least one year.

Must have completed at least one of the following:

Lead two full HELP training sessions in one year.
-
Assist in four HELP
training sessions led by a certified HELP Instructor.
-
Participate in at least 18 hours of HELP related
in-service led by CAPS.
-
Must be re-certified annually.
